home made terminal power block 12 volt

needed this since I am adding a gulper bilge pump, rule 3700.
I made it using copper plate 1/8 inch bolted and epoxy glued to wood mounting board. Screw terminal are all tapped and came out of some old outlets.
I had everything , did not have to buy anything to make this part. It is split into 2 separate sides. The threaded bolts will hold the source power from the 12 volt breakers

Maybe just not focused! Nothing in the imge is in focus. Which camera? Did you hold the trigger halfway down and let it auto focus? Is there a close-up mode you can use? Ususally there is a "flower" mode or something other than landscape. Also you can pull back and take a clear shot then crop it before you post it to get rid of the extra background.

Would not mind seeing the work more clearly

This looks sharper now.
The copper is nice thick stuff, part of a 1/8 inch thick sheet I got a few years ago from a sheet metal shop. The bolts are SS.

The lower wood piece is douglas fir, the other wood spacer are either teak or mahogany.
It is all epoxy sealed and will go in a dry location. I will likely only use one side, but went ahead and did both just in case a future need comes up.

how far apart are the two sections? is there protection between this and the battery? I would be worried about accidentally shorting the two halves together.

yes this is breakered at 30 amps.
you definitely dont want wires unbreakered, they burn up if they short!

the rule 3700 can draw up to 20 amps when pumping.
I am using an 8 gauge wire to this block and 10 gauge to the pump.
The wire to the pump is actually part of a section of shore power cord, it is very robust.
they are far enough apart to never electrically connect.
(around 1/8 inch space between these and space is filled with epoxy) these would be 12 volt positive connection points running off separate breakers.
