I suspect there is a thread on here for home made tools, but I could not find it. I have been working on thinning out possessions and retrieved this from the barn to photograph and place an ad on CL. This is what I made to simplify the stretching of chain link fence I installed about 1400 feet of fence using this. A stretcher bar is dropped through the fence and the J-bolts on this hook over the stretcher bar and the threaded chain-link gets attached to a come-a-long.

Menards sells them for 28 bucks
Since the closest Menards is over 100 miles from here and I am not in the market to buy, what is the point of your post? I did a search on the Menards website and the item they offer does not appear as well made as mine.

No need to get your ******* in a wad. You posted a pic of the tool like you invented it. Fence stretchers like that have been around forever. Good for you that you made one. I was just pointing out that Menards and every other box store stocks them for cheap.

Please don't make assumptions about my *******. Thank you for confirming that your post was based on a false assumption. I never made any claim to inventing - just posted a picture of something that I made. Perhaps any box store in your area carries such items, but I have never seen one locally.
