I do a lot of car restoration work in my garage and figured I can get a nice used wall oven for less than $75 on CL and take care of lots of the powder coating tasks I'd otherwise send out (suspension pieces, etc etc). Wife also interested in using for art/jewelry projects.

Any recommendations on a gun? I see Eastwoods has some offerings. Or could look for a uses 'pro' gun on ebay/CL.

Thanks

Start with the cheapest you can find. There is a lot more to powder coating than just spraying and baking. Proper cleaning, preparation and application take time that may cut into your day. If it works out for you then you can look for a gun that fits your needs.

I know all about the prep to paint ratio and Im game for it. Wondering what the downsides if any are to a middle of the road gun like eastwooda dual voltage

I got an Eastwood kit for Christmas and I am just now starting to use it. So far I like it. I haven't done anything big yet, but am about to do some brake calipers. I will also be using it in my 1965 Chevy c10 restoration I am about to start. So I am looking forward to using my new blast cabinet and powder coating small parts for my restoration...
