I’m debating on two lifts ether the Dannmar D-8 lift or the Atlas Apex 9BP lift, Both lifts are ALI certified, There’s very few pictures and reviews on both lifts. The atlas has a 9000 lifting capacity when the Dannmar only has 8, pictures I’ve seen the Dannmar looks a little nicer, but I’m wanting more which is constructed better? I want this price range and this type of constructed lift due to height restrictions of my shop. Any help would be great. I couldn’t find a country of origin for ether lift so I’m guessing they are both Chinese made. Any help would be great

I've been doing a good bit of side work for a guy who has a 15K atlas lift in his shop. I dont have any reservations about it. He's got a fleet of F450 and F550 stake body crew cab trucks. Its an open floor lift though.
If you dont have the ceiling height to go with an open floor lift, then the baseplate isn't that big of a deal to get over. I pulled 2-3 transmissions for a guy that had a baseplate lift, you just lay down 2-3 sheets of plywood to bridge across the plate and you'll be fine.

My dad has a base plate lift in his shop. its annoying rolling things over that plate. For my shop i'm doing the Atlas 9KOH. great reviews. there is one above that that is ALI certified if your concerned with that. nothing bad to say about the atlas brand really. seems to be as good as Rotary.

Welcome to the forum

If you want an American Made lift call Rotary and tell them that. They build them in Madison Indiana.

They also sell Chinese lifts, that's why you need to call them and ask them.

This is the guy I deal with:

Larry Kendall CSI
Facility Planner/Technical Information Specialist
Vehicle Service Group
2700 Lanier Drive
Madison, IN. 47250-0560
800.445.5438 x5627

I've had mine since 2007, moved it to our new place in 2016. Installed it myself, it's a great lift.

I'll admit, I would rather not have a baseplate hoist(Bend-Pak), but it had hardly ever been used and my BIL practically gave it to me.
