I guess once upon a time to keep apprentices busy you gave them paint and told them to just paint stuff.
The remaining grey paint on the drill press is in amazing shape. But someone decided to paint the guard and base.
I want to remove the paint (would be nice to only strip the top and leave the grey, but I doubt that will happen) and apply a fresh coat.
What are you suggestion for stripping the paint?
When I repaint do I try to match it or go a different colour?
What type of primer (if needed) and paint?
Thanks
Rod

After a good cleaning, and removing paint that shouldn't be there, I'm going for brushed on Tremclad ready for paint.jpg.
