im about to make some pin spanner wrenches with removable pins of different sizes. figure id use allen head bolts and turn the ends different size so i can
just threaded different sizes in.



Has anyone made there own? could u post pics of yours .

im just worried about making the ends to thin and cracking the main body.

be nice to see what others have made.

Those allen head bolts will normally be hardened steel and will not turn down worth a ****. Might grind them but just about any turning tool is going to just skip on them.

Here's a poor man's peg spanner using a couple of loose rods, a file for a lever or handle and a tube socket to keep the other ends of the rods from spreading.(necessity is the mother of invention):



Here's one I made for a special application. I had the round steel ring and the tapered handle was a scrap left over from something else. The pins were just cut from some rods I had around.



I like the ones that have the ends of the handle on a pivot so you can adjust the spread of the pins. I've found a couple of those at flea markets so I have no need to try to make some.

I like your idea for the interchangeable pins though. I'll follow this thread in case I need something I don't have covered yet.
