homemade Rustproofing Sprayer

Has anyone ever made their own rustproofing sprayer?

I just got done with a paintjob on my DD / winter beater truck & i'd like to spray a little rustproofing in it.
I used to work in a bodyshop & had access to all that equipment, but not any more.
I'm not sure if I will spray actual rustproofing, or just coat the insides of some panels with some oil, but i'd like to have some kind of adjustable wand / hose to get inside of body areas.
I have an old pressure pot (3-4 gallon) that I've never used & I also have a similar 1-2 quart sprayer that was given to me.
I have an old Binks #7 copy spraygun.
Could I make that into a sprayer? How do I attach a wand / hose to it?
I don't want to go out & buy a complete new setup, i'd rather make something out of what I have.
What type / where would I get fittings to make a spraygun work?
I've done a search here & didn't see what i was looking for.

I mixed up a homemade version of Wayoyl and used a garden sprayer to inject it into body/chassis cavities. The "wayoyl" needs to be warmed up so I put the garden sprayer into an old crock pot ($2 at a yard sale).

^^^ I thought about using a garden sprayer, but i'd like the ability to spray slightly heavier bodied coatings too.

I made a sprayer from a 20lb propane tank. Hand an air fitting to pressure it and a siphon tube to spray oil through a garden nozzle.

I'm trying to spray the inside of doors, fenders, etc.
I'd like to rig-up a small sprayer to get inside of stuff.

I was going to attempt to use a garden pressure sprayer. Off topic a lil but what do you plan to cut the oil with to sprayer smooth?

I put together something similar and blow my own version of "Waxoyl" out of a hand held jug, through 1/2" drilled holes.

Cannot find a picture of that creation on file, will post one later.

You can also use a Shutz gun and reload it with anything you want.

I tried a garden sprayer and didn't have much luck. I used "Rust Check" as the fluid and it was too thick to go through the nozzle. I'm sure enlarging the nozzle would have produced better results but I'm not sure by how much. I think you really need compressed air if you want to move a lot of fluid.

I use an inexpensive $25 sprayer designed for the job and it works great. I have a few attachments for it (basically hoses) and I'm happy with the results.

Thanks for the ideas so far. I'd like to try to build something out of stuff I already have, but if I need to i'll buy the tool to do it.
I'm mainly trying to get inside the fenders, doors, box sides, etc.
What have most of you been spraying? I thought waste oil would be better than nothing. Maybe trans fluid? I think a lot of the rustproofing products you can buy are too thick to really soak into the cracks & crevises.
