Honda 2000 baffle box

Starting my 3rd generator sound box for an RV. This will be a Honda EU2200i. I have learned a bit along the way and done endless web searchs. I have come across this silencer, baffle and despite hours on the net cannot figure out what is inside it or how it is designed. I have a Honda powered tracked wheelbarrow that is quite noisy. I robbed the muffler off a lawn mower that died and plan to add a second muffler to the engine to see if will baffle the sound pulses down some. The engine itself is likely a considerable noise maker but thought I would start with the exhaust.

A muffler is basically a baffle, noise like evil spirits can only travel in a straight line. I need a space saving design for a baffle and despite numerous web searches I cannot find one. I can find pictures but no inside design.
