Recommend a REASONABLE set of hook spanner and pin spanner (the American definition of "spanner")

I love my Stahlwille hook spanner. Not a set, just one.

It click-locks to the size you need and stays there so very good for awkward spaces like rear monoshock adjustment on a motorcycle.
It's not the cheapest, but not crazy expensive either.

Have used the Teng. version and whilst not a Teng lover these were ok. Don’t know what the price is like in the US.

Facom makes a face pin spanner with replaceable pins that's nice and not too expensive

I still have some of the older French made Facom 126 Series wrenches (with replaceable pins) on sale. Additional 30% discount. See https://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/part.php?cPath=35_61_1036&products_id=3375 .

I have an adjustable Falcom face pin spanner with interchangeable tips which is pretty good. We like the hinged Gedore a lot. I have the hinged type of pin and hooked edge spanners in several flavors. I use these. Lot and can’t seem to have what I need. I make all kinds of them in a hurry as the need arises.
The attached photo shows some. The largest started as a diamond grinding wheel, talk about hard on curing tools...
