This is my 1966 ford 427 Shelby Cobra (replica).....(bummer) LOL !
I built the car four years ago & it's a blast to drive. I bought the engine from Carroll Shelby in 2001. I rebuilt it for more POWER ! dynoded at 563 hp & 570 ft.lbs. of torque. Best 1/4 mile- 10.38 @ 134 mph. Ran it at the Kansas Motor Speedway last fall. Top speed- 164.3 mph. Slid it sideways in corner #4 going apx. 150 mph. Got back to the pits. Many people were waiting for me. One guy said, "dude....... was that scarry" I replied, "no"......as I held out my SHAKING hands !!! LOL ! If it weren't for racing sprint cars & being used to getting loose, I'de of lost it. Anyway, I built the car first, garage last, go figure ? It's only a single stall but, at least the car is small. Still have a lot of work to do. This site is good for inspiration with all your FANTASTIC......... garages !
Thanks,
kevin
