Horizontal electrical mounted box to vertical?

Is there such a box that will convert a horizontally mounted electrical box in an eve/soffit over to a vertical box?

Trying to mount a ring floodlight where I currently have a floodlight and Ring is only supposed to be mounted vertically. Changing the location is out of the question. There’s a hack for grinding away the mount which allows you to reposition the camera, but if there’s a $10 box/bracket that solves this, I’m all for it.

So he's looking for a box that would mate up with the horizontal box and provide a vertical mount for the camera/lights.

I'm not aware of such a critter... but who knows for sure what's out there? Good luck with your search.

Fasthotrod, yes, that’s exactly what I’m looking for, thanks for posting those.

RayJay, good idea, I hadn’t thought of that. Concerned the wife wouldn’t like how it looks. But maybe I could get the conduit really short so they are flush.
Maybe I could form some sheet metal to make it look better.

I put the boxes for exterior lights in the soffit when I wired this place. Since then it seems like wall boxes are more common and universal. Is that the case? I only had 6" soffits to work with so things were very tight. Went with 12" on the new place so will have a bit more room but some fixtures don't seem to work with soffit boxes while all seem to work with wall boxes. Someone please tell me if I am wrong on this.

Zeke the ring camera needs to be mountes on a vertical surface like a garage peak.

You could also use a cover with a threaded hub, a threaded close ******, a 1/2" pulling elbow and then ****** into the back of the other box.

This is what I’m going to end up doing. You basically grind out a section so the ball socket will allow you to get the camera angle you need.
