There is an auction tomorrow that I'm going to that has a "No 3 Cincinnati Mill" or so it says. Here is a picture of it.

I'm going to get a better look at it this evening.

Can anyone give me any insite on what model it is and what a decent price would be?

I searched the web and could not find one like it.

I appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Brad

It looks old, early 20's at the latest. Likely a direct-drive flat belt machine, but could be an early gear head. It appears to be missing some of the feed components, such as the table drive rod.

Price? Not more than scrap. A machine that looks very similar is listed in the 1913 catalog at 4458 lbs.

it depends on what you want to do with it and if you expect it to work correctly. you'll also need to figure in any moving related costs. if it's easy for you to load and move, that's different then if you need to have a rigger deliver it to you.

with that in mind, that mill looks neglected itself and in the environment. it probably has 3~ motor. it will likely take a lot of work and time to get anywhere near usable. if you feel like messing around with it, it might be an interesting learning experience though. worst case you could try parting it out.

i don't see any other tooling or vises which can make a huge difference in value. at this point, if moving is easy, i'd say 100.00 would be a "decent" price.

i looked for the listing on auctionzip, but didn't see anything. if you can post a link or more pics, i'll take a closer look.

ets. here is a link you might find to make interesting reading..
