Horizontal/vertical bandsaw table

I decided that the table that came with the bandsaw was too small and flimsy so I built this table. Its made out of 1"x1 1/2" tube for the legs and main support then 1"x1/2" supports with a 1/8" top. It just lifts up and slides right off. Sorry for the bad iphone pics.

I was looking at the same type of thing yesterday. I need to make some cuts that are going to take a while, and I don't want to lean on the flimsy table at all. I have the feeling I'm going to be doing a bit of leaning

One of the reasons I am looking forward to building a new base for my 4x6 is just so I can incorporate a removable vertical plate. I can't wait to go from horizontal to vertical without having to break out a screwdriver!

Hmm I have an old table saw top that might work for that applicaton and would have the miter slots too.

Thank you! That would work for sure bluebolt. It makes it so nice to just slide it off and cut metal horizontally without having to unscrew anything.
