Corbin hose clamps and have been around for at least 50 years. The advantage to them was that they kept constant tension on the hose connection when the hose aged and got smaller. Ideal screw clamps had to be tightened every year or so to keep tension on hoses.
like this:special hose clamp pliers, with swiveling pads made to catch the ears.
These are a game changer
I like the Knipex version they have a wide range of size coverage and the tips swivel to get at odd angles

Sometimes only the remote cable versions works, but generally the Knipex is always my first pick

The style shown in the Amazon link are good. I have somebody's knock-off version. Definitely need the 2 positions 90 degrees to each other. My favorite hose clamp pliers were originally made by AST but, they're copied by a bunch of peeps on Amazon and elsewhere now. They're basically fat jawed slip joint pliers with grooves running parallel and perpendicular on the jaws. What I like most about them is that they have some heft to them and won't twist like some of the stamped steel versions under clamp pressure.

Cable operated hose clamps were indeed a game changer when they first came out. However, beware as their current quality level ranges vary from really bad to outstanding. Pay attention to the sliding ears and I recommend a locking release lever with several teeth on it instead of a single hook. The several teeth allow you to partially release the clamp for positioning instead of holding its pressure with your hand. The original French made ones sold by Mayhew and a bunch of others were quite good.
The Knipex hose clamps are great if you've got the space. I prefer the shorter version but, that's just me.![]()
Wow those got cheap. I bought some probably 15 years ago and they were ~$40. Handy for hard to get pliers to clamps.
spring band clamps . they work well for their intended purpose
This one time, at band clamp....spring band clamps
