Be careful to use the correct "rubber" hose for your application. I know A/C hoses are "special".

What are you doing? If I need hoses made for a custom build I get all of the fittings at my local autoparts, run the hoses and them have them crimp them for me. They usually crimp for free and the fittings are 5 or 6 bucks apiece. If you aren't making tons of hoses this is a much more cost affective way of doing it. :)

Yes I know. Correct rubber for the application. Ijust have customers wantinf leaks fixed and most commonly the dodge trsnsmission cooler. A couple power steering pressure lines. And honestlt its easier just doing at home than driving to store to crimp.

I am not sure if this mastercool would only work for a/c or other hoses aswell (looks like it should) and if theres special ferrules I need.

Also wondering if people use anything. Mostly just rrpair plan to use it 4-5 crimps a month. Pay off in a couple months.

I don't think the mastercool crimper will work on hydraulic hoses, the hose and fitting construction is different in each and so the type of crimp needed.

Power steering systems run in excess of 1200 psi on the pressure side.

AC runs between 300-350 psi on the high pressure side.

Not all crimpers are the same, the dies in the tool pictured are engineered to only crimp AC hoses with beadlock fittings.

I'm a tool junky too but the payback on a hose crimper like that is going to take a long time.
