Found this guy the other day and was too interesting to pass up on! It's a No. 2 Hose Snubber from the Hose StayPut Tool Co! From what I can tell, the patent is around 1935 for the tool, and it is used for clamping hoses/hose fittings! You put the hose in the rounded head at the end of the screw with the screw all the way out. You then put a, I assume, smoth hose clamp over the hose and through the "tail" lock on top. Then you tighten the screw and it pulls the hose clamp tight! Pretty neat and I think I will try to find some correct clamps and use this one some of my hose projects!
I welcome feedback from anyone who knows more about these though! Any other inputs? Did I get the usage wrong? Any idea was was the proper hose/band clamp used with these? Thanks in advance for any input!
