Hi,

I'm in need of a hot air gun, my price range and preference has taken me to either a Bosch PHG600-3 or Metabo H 16-500

The Bosch can blow cold which is a bonus.

Any opinions on either ?

Are Bosch made in China or elsewhere ?

Don't need digital control so the Bosch would suffice.

Made in Romania eh, that's a new one :headscrat

Snap-on heats guns are also Steinel. This is not the brands in question, but they are very good quality.

Bought the Bosch, it's made in Romania.

Appears to be excellent quality, it works brilliantly too.

Milwaukee is slowly being gutted from the inside by the Chinese just like Dewalt and the rest, little of what they sell is made here anymore.

I have a cheapo $20 heat gun that I use all the time and has yet to give me any trouble, but I know some folks are a little more demanding than I am.
