I found a new Hot Dawg heater on craigslist with fittings and pipe for 800 bucks. Model hd100as0111, 100,00 btu/hr. runs on gas or propane. Does this sound like a good price? He said he hooked it up to try it out prior to mounting it and was evicted from the shop before he could put in permanently. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Do a google search. It doesn't seem like a very good deal to me. I think that you can buy the base unit for less than $8oo new. If he is including the venting kit it may save you a couple of bucks but is it worth it for what is basically a used heater?

$200 would be more like it.

Phil

Wow, that sounds optimistic...maybe he should just steal it!

I would think if it was sitting there, new with all fittings, as the original post stated, it would be worth a bit more than $200.

They seem to sell online for $850-950 so if he could get it for $700-750 or so from the craigslist seller (and not have to pay for any shipping), he'd still be getting a decent and fair deal.
