Hot dawg mounting question

Anyone out here put up a Hot Dawg heater without hanging it from the trusses? Like on a shelf or some other way..where I want to place it hangin from ceiling structure won't work..post pic if you can. Thanks

I have seen a few mounted on a metal stand made from 1" square tubing, probably 6-7 feet off the floor. The stand was bolted to the floor and the heater was bolted to the stand.

How ever you hang it make sure that there is absolutely no way it can tip over and rupture the gas line. If you are going to shelf mount it bolt the shelf to the slab and bolt the unit to the shelf.

I'd probably make a BIG triangle out of 2" angle iron with some reinforced cross bracing. Then you could bolt this to the two corner walls and then place your Hot Dawg to the top of it (bolted down of course).

Just take careful measurements to allow for the proper rear and side clearances that are needed by the heater.
