Hey guys. I have read through everything I can find on installing a Hot Dawg heater in my garage. I purchased a used 60K until that is just one year old and am getting ready to install. I am fine with the electrical and gas lines, but have never ran the vent pipe. I am lucky as to where I am installing and I can go up in the attic and 45 over next to the pipe going up for the fireplace. What I don't know is exactly what I need. I think I'll just use Class B pipe the entire way unless someone thinks different. I did see where I might want to do a 2' run out of the heater in single wall for condensation issues. Let me know if that makes sense to you guys. I'll then go to a T with a cap on the bottom for cleaning it out. When I go up from there I don't know what I need to pass through the drywall. The thimbles seem like they would be to thick, but maybe that is what I need. I also don't know what I need to pass through the tin at the top of the current fireplace to the outside. I should be able to figure out the rest of the piping. Any help is appreciated.
