Good afternoon everyone. New member here, thanks for letting me join.
I am a professional painter and just installed a new Hot Dawg HDS 45k in the storage side of my spray booth away from the fumes on the spray side. It's been running for 2 days now and I have a question that you may be able to help with. I am on my 3rd blower and 2nd fan blade....(The first blower motor and blade were swapped out on warranty and the 2nd blower I replaced because I damaged it installing)................. and everything is currently running well. The unit is getting up to heat and properly shutting down and all seems well. My question though is how warm should the housing on the rear blower motor feel. It seems warmer/hotter than I think it should but I have nothing to compare too. It's not like it burns you when you touch it but I am just concerned about how hot it might get and if there is a problem. Also I have not been in the shop today so I don't know if it's been running a lot or shutting down frequently, it is fairly chilly here in Illinois today. I have gone in to feel it 3 times, twice when running and once just after shutdown.
Any thoughts? Did I explain things well?
Thanks again,
Regards, Kevin
