Not sure where to post this question - Mods feel free to relocate this

I have a 300 gallon hot tub. It is a Viking brand spa, it's about two years old.

Lately I have noticed I have to keep bringing the water level back up every day (drops about 3 o 4 inches). One morning while sitting in it I heard a drain inside leaking, so I opened up and the spa and so that the next time I sat in it I could see if it was what I heard draining. Sure enough, before getting in the spa it was not leaking but after entering the spa and the water level rose, it started draining.

I didn't want this to keep draining under the spa so I connected to the hose and routed it outside the spa. This "drain" did not drain when the pump was running, only when the pump stopped.

A little more investigation and I discovered this is in fact not a drain but an air line for the air control valve.

This is where I am now, wondering if anyone here has experienced this and has any info before I delve deeper into this. I live in San Diego, freezing is certainly not one of the causes.

Thanx in advance

My Viking leaked at the topside control panel. Of course it only leaked when I overfilled it and two were in it. The topside control got to the point where I couldn't read it anymore so I ordered a new one thinking it would be my chance to make sure the seal was good this time . The new control panel with the two sided tape fixed my leak. Sounds like you have a different problem though

No. That hose is air ONLY(when working properly)...it provides air so that when you open the air valve it doubles the pressure. What I do know is if one of the valves fails, the air line then leaks because water has been introduced to it.

I'm hoping someone else has run into this problem.
