Hopefully he disconnected the load side of the gfci cb and tried to reset it.

If it didn't reset, then gfci cb bad. If it did reset, then problem in hot tub or wiring to it.

Also could have ohmed out between conductors.

Well today we decided to open up the panel on the actual hot tub

We found 3 very loose wires.

Within 30 minutes the hot tub is up and running and heating up nicely

Free fixes are always great......I just wonder how the hot tub "tech" didn't catch it......or did he and wanted to charge $300
