I currently have a natural gas fired hot water heater & need to convert it for use with propane. I have ordered the conversion kit from the manufacturer....anyone done this ? Any problems encountered ?

It isn't diffuclt, but check on liability afterwards. Not sure about where you're from, but if insurers know/find out about the swap and that it isn't certified you'll end up not covered.
Here I can do the work, but need an official engineer to come in and inspect to certify at least - or I can't get cover. Insurers don't know I did the work, but are OK with the official stamp on it.

Be careful

Got to ask - why swap that way? It'll be more expensive too

I am in a rural area where NG is not available, I have a propane furnace & electric H/W tank, which is $ to operate, hence my reason to go propane H/W tank.
