Anybody use one of these in there garage. They come in a lot of different sizes. Some run off 10/2 wire on a 30amp. breaker which I have available. Warm water would be nice if these work.

Perfect for a garage sink. I've installed many in break rooms, restrooms, pharmacies...

I've got one in my office building. Serves two restrooms that are back to back.

Think mine in Bosch.

Works good.

Dad has one of those under sink tanks at his shop. It's blue is all I can recall. Works fine.

Hot water in winter is nice. Makes things bearable.

Like Jake- I have a 2.5 gallon and hardly ever turn it on. If it were instant on it would be much more useful.

I've got a "Power Star" instant heat that I bought from HD. Works great. Services two sinks and a shower in the shop.

I've got a 5 gallon Bosch that I use to feed my garage sinks....but I never turn it on.

Got a 2.5 gallon one in my outside bar and it's great. Intend on installing same size in my new shop.

All of these are tank type units, not what the OP is asking about. I too have a 2½ gal Titan (the dark blue one) under my sink.

I have looked into "instant" units and concluded that I need a decent sized one to do what I want. I need to be able to raise the temp of my water from about 50°F to 105-110°F with a 3 gal/min or so flow. To do this will take one that is in the range of 13Kwatts. I want to be able to fill a bucket with hot water.

The one the OP shows comes close, but will still struggle to do the job. It will probably do great for low flow handwashing, however.

For now, I'm happy with my old tank unit.

Aaaaa. I missed the fact that this was an instant hot water heater. Those definitely would be nice - and I did look at them when I was building. The problem was that they require 40 to 60 amp which means it requires serious consideration for your electrical service. In my case, I had already run a 100amp panel out in the garage and putting something with that much potential draw on it (in addition to two mini-splits and various computers and tools) put me in serious overcapacity jeopardy. Even if I had not already run my electrical, I would have probably needed to go to a 150amp (or 200) service out to the garage which would add considerably to the cost of putting in one water heater...so, I stayed away and went with a tank unit that I'll just turn on when I have a party or some other specific need.
