My 17'x22' half circle garage That was canvas but is being recovered in metal tin..
The best thing I did was 2 fans, one at one end blowing and one at the other sucking..
just the slight breeze made it much better.. I have 2 roof exhaust fans solar powered that will go in both ends.. to help keep the heat from building up, And the corded fans at ends,sides when in it.. for the breeze..

Spray Foam has very high material cost and equipment cost. DIY kits are more than having a pro do it. With your type of Building crock1 you are going to more difficulty insulation any other way although it can be done.
As others have said, paint it white or silver.

Pressure wash it and paint it white. Then if you feel the need you could always insulate it with foiled rigid foam. Florida and the Department of Energy have done experiments and White Metal Roofs are always the coolest followed by White Clay.

My 50x50 cost $4300 for 1" closed cell spray foam. Be aware, there is also open-cell, less expensive, different properties.
It took them about 3 days. They also covered the floor, and all non-sprayed items, with plastic tarps to keep the overspray off.
Again, it turned an oven into a comfortable structure, in Texas summer heat. 'nuff said.
