Hour Meter

Any idea on the cost of an Hour meter for my 5 hp, 2 stage air comp. And do you just wire it to the Motor? Thanks guy/ gals.

You can get hour meters from Grainger in the $30-$50 range - go to www.grainger.com and do a search on hour meter. You can probably find one elsewhere for less money. It gets hooked up to the motor starter so that it receives power whenever the motor is running.

I just think that the hours would be good to know.
Most small garage units accumulate hrs in years, personally I think it a waste of effort and sleep. It not going to hurt anything though. Put some synthetic oil in it and call it a day.

I agree. Gave it some thought, decided I could use the money better for something else, and never installed one.
