In your basement...seriously, go look now!
So I went to my local Ace Hardware yesterday and they had a series of USA made screwdrivers on discount for $2.99 and I came across a screwdriver type I had never seen before. The tip looked like an hourglass in cross-section and I've not encountered a screw type that this would fit. Any ideas what this driver is?

Right, clutch head.
Used a fair amount on small screws and things on the 45-53 Chevy trucks I like, and I'm sure other years outside of that.

Thanks! Google wasn't able to provide much help, figured the human touch would get the answer.

I only knew that because I bought one at Ace hardware years ago when I had a mobile home and every electric outlet, cabinet hinge, etc. used those. was told by the park owner what it was and where to get it...Still have it 25 yrs. later and haven't used it since'91:)

Never seen them used there before but then again you do have that very rare (never made) 1963 289.

The first 289 was early 1965 and prior years was the 260.

That's not entirely true, the C-code and K-code 289s were introduced in 1963 in the Fairlane.
