I know this is the garage forum, but...

My wife has been wanting to do this for a while now, but she let me build me shop first when we first bought this house 3 yrs ago, and I told her as soon as the shop is done, then we can do fix up the house stuff! She is an awesome wife. We are getting a new roof, front porch with the overhang, all new windows, and new front and back doors also. Thanks for looking.

Some pics

House as it was. (ghetto)

You fell into the trap...a garage is NEVER trully done.

You should have went with a second story while you were at it.

Looks much better than your "ghetto" shot.

Looks good man, gives it character.

I thought I'd seen your house before, on Napolean Dynamite. ;)

Ha ha...that was a great observation. I live about 50 miles from where that was filmed....Preston Idaho. What a hole....

Trim paint?:headscrat

Thanks for the comments all.

We got new 10 new windows all around the house too shortly after the porch was done. Here is a pic. They put this viynl trim around all the windows that way I never have to paint trim again!!:bounce:

Looking good. I also am wondering what's up with the trim on the top of the porch, etc. Some of the fascia/deck looks like cedar/redwood- if that's the case, are you just going to seal it and let it be, or are you painting it?

Get some plants and mulch around the base of that house and it'll go from looking 200% better to 300%, PLUS you'll have less mowing and trimming to do. :D

Thanks

Ya I am going to seal it and keep the natural look of the Cedar. My wife is going to pick put plants as soon as it gets warmer, trust me. :)
