"House Questions" permitted?

Something I've been wondering... Seeing as how this is a garage-centric message board, is there a general policy on the posting of "house" related questions?

The members here are a wealth of knowledge in just about everything for the building trades, and areas like heating, electrical, roofing, insulation, etc have a lot of crossover between garages and homes.

Also, if house questions have the OK, I assume we would post them in the most relevant garage-related section? (ie: electrical in the Lighting & Electrical sub-forum), and not just drop everything "non-garage" in the "Free Parking" section as a technicality?

Go ahead and make your thread, in the approriate section, if it's deemed not suited for GJ, it'll get deleted or closed. Unless you're way off base, I doubt the latter will happen.
