So we will be closing July 11th on our new house.

2.4 acres
30x50x12 Shop

I will utilize this thread to post updates of the build out and to ask questions.

Planned Changes/Upgrades

Electrical:


Currently there is no electrical run to the shop.

  • 100a Panel
  • 2 - 15a Light Circuits
  • 2 - 20a 120v Outlet Circuits
  • 2 - 50a 240Vv Welding/Compressor/Lift Circuits

Structural:

Currently there is one 12' roll up door and 1 36" Door

  • Add 2-10' Rollup Doors to long wall
  • Add 1 - 36" Door to Long Wall

Equipment:


  • 2 Post Car Lift
  • Motorcycle Lift Table

Congrats on the purchase!! Have fun reading through the ream of paper when closing on the deal.

Beautiful property!! I would love to own a large piece of land in Houston one day but moving away from the city w/ all the amenities is a huge sacrifice.

Nice place, please talk to a structural engineer before adding doors in the sidewalls. The design of the building will change a lot in your neck of the woods without suitable bracing for wind loads.

Yes, I plan on it. I have the metal building company that installs them coming out to quote the work, also looking at metal roofing the house.

Really nice place you have there, looking at your building it sure looks closer to 14' high walls. I could be wrong I'm just guessing off the personnel door height.
