Hey Dave well other than 2 new kittens :D the shop came to a bit of a standstill with the holidays and things needing finishing touches in the house :D. The kittens are from my stray who has already given us one kitten . The good news is the older kitten is a good mouser .

Cool critters! We just got a new kitty about a week and a half ago. She's hell on wheels. Great fun:)! Getting another one next week because my wife thinks this one needs a 'friend'. I don't mind, I love cats. I don't have a pic handy but I'll get one later. Happy Thanksgiving!! (only 11:08 here haha)

Cool progress and development of everything.

I have an older designe lathe, saw, planer combo and love it.

The garage critters made me reply.

Fortunately (or not) Nicola would let the cats live in the house and move into the garage herself.... yep, life is not fair.

I have one of our 3 cats that loves the garage, woodworking shed and generally being with tools and under my feet.

She is also a security cat.

Harley.

LOL Paul its been Friday here for about 3 hours when you posted . I am an animal person SWMBO tolerates them although Little Bit is turning her around :D. He will hop up in my lap and then walk across to hers if she is out here at the pub table with me . Her idea of a " pet " is her fish I keep teling her to pet one otherwise they are " looks " :D.

Grizz Harley looks like a fun shop cat . Thats another reason I have been sluggish on the garage as
I knew Scrounge was pregnant and I wanted her to feel comfortable having the kittens inside as its getting a little cold outside for them . She surprised me last week being in an area of the garage she normaly doesnt go and thats when I found the new babies . Needless to say I have tried to keep the noise down out here for about a month now . Once the kittens are a month old I will get back to semi normal out here .

Now that's a true cat lover - willing to slow down progress in the shop so the new kittens are comfortable! Good on you Rick.

The funny part is its more to make moma kitty comfy than the babies . They are born blind and deaf so no amount of light or noise would bother them for the first week anyways :D.

Ahh, cute kitties!

I am an animal lover, but we are holding off on getting the 'shop dog' until the kid grows a little more and we can factor the pet into the budget.

Make sure you get the cats fixed. My dad started out with taking in one cat - total from that one has been around 40! Most have disappeared so now he's down to around 18. Garage is riddled with fleas.

That's what happened to my dad, didn't get fixed in time. He has two "keepers" that have been fixed and have been great cats for years. I have two boys but they know inside the garage is off limits. I may let them stay in there this winter on extra cold nights.

Dave I'll trade ya :D. I have heat in my garage and furnaces work harder the colder it gets which makes them more prone to break and require repairs :D.

Hey Rick, wingnut65 gave us a quick report today that you survived the storms up there. I saw some footage on the news about a tornado that passed through near my old stomping grounds in Lexington. Nasty weather, for sure.

Anyway, its great to hear you are doing okay. Check in with us once in a while here at GJ, would ya.

I checked in with Rick back in spring of 2012 and he was very involved with family and friends who all had damage from tornados that went through Kentucky. Between that and work, he was getting ******* and didn't have time to get back here on GJ.

I'd like to get some more of his expertise as I finally break out my small lathe and start some small flashlights or other learning curve projects.

Rick, if you are still monitoring this, you are missed around here!
