I NEVER watch hockey, but I watched that game with a lot of interest.

Kudos to team Canada for playing tough and being classy in winning. True sportsmanship is refreshing.

It was over before it started. I saw Don Cherry say the Canadians were going to win. WTF is that guy a Canuck pimp or something??

I follow hockey quiet a bit. Have NHL Center Ice on Direct TV.

In game one, the pre-game announcers were also saying the same thing when U.S. VS Canada......Stated the U.S. didn't have a chance up agains the Canadian talent.......They had that one wrong. They also stated that the Canadians did not respect the US style of hockey. I couldn't figure that one out since most of the major players, play in the NHL in the U.S. and live in the U.S. and play that style of hockey all year.......Sometimes I wish the pre-game guys would just "shut it."

Congrats to Canada for 2 hard fought games against the U.S. .

the talking heads/experts ****..........cliche after clice etc..........also hate the players being interviewed as it is always the same ****" happy to be here"," we'll do our best","etc..........the script is always the same.........as for the announcers, have seen a few games where the announcers were on strike and personally enjoyed the game so much more...........as for the olympic coverage, the local broadcaster took a carpe t bombing attitude to making sure you never had any doubt that they were broadcasting the games...........if i wasn't so cheap i would have a pvr for sure..........anyways , americas hat [ thanx backtracker] actually did very well in gold this year..........now for the fallout and watch bc political news for the inevitable scandals surrounding the premier.........this is a guy who got a dui in hawaii and was relected 2 more times.......either the guy is slippery and crooked or the bc people are idiots...........having lived there for a coupla years, i would lean towards the former mostly , but i witnessed first hand the populace too and they can hold their own..........:lol_hitti

I have to agree with Tatra...Cherry is a ignorant fool and an embarrasment! As for the talking heads stating the so called facts...I usually watch sports with the volume down and never watch any pre-game shows.

I watched the game and I have to say that the USA played one hell of a game! Miller was very good but the goalposts helped him a couple of times!:)

Way to go Canada!!!:bounce:

Yep,

From across the river, major congratulations to Team Canada on well played hockey  especially considering the pressure they were under.

I am sure massive amounts of Molson's and Blue  were consumed yesterday-lol.

And Don Cherry is a legend !!!

In his own mind!!

Team Blackhawks....errrr I mean Canada takes the Gold.

Damn, only 4 Hawks received medals instead of 6. If Slovakia would have beaten Finland we'd have those 6.

I think you might want to worry more about Stanley Cups (48 years) than Gold Medals.......If you want to look at some banners just drive east about 5 hours....

Although U.S.A. didn't win I am happy that Steve Yzerman was running team Canada.

Fixed it for you.... :lol_hitti
Nice, I bet it took Cindy the whole 2 weeks of the Olympics to grown his 'playoff beard' he was sporting ;)

Totally bummed the USA didn't pull it off. That 4-on-4 format is kind of funky, I don't like it. I noticed about 3 times the USA guy was wanting to pass it back to a guy on the blue line only to realize there wasn't a 5th guy there. Oh well, kudos to the USA for playing a great game.

Maybe we can get American football in the summer olympics and see how well Canada plays against us :spit:

the canadians were lucky to win that game. against the czechs they gave it away in the last few minutes, and were lucky the americans only scored twice. to me it looked like they were coasting and playing too much of a defensive game..now if brian burke and ron wilson could only build the leafs up like they did for the american team, i might get excited for nhl again......
