Local Sears has the sets on sale, I'm mainly interested in the 1/2" drive set for $23.99 and maybe the 1/4" for $15.99.

Several years ago we had a thread about them and some guy who was supposedly from one of the major tools manufacturers post some pictures from their "in house" testing that showed that the Dewalt hand tools would rust really easy and their metal was not the best of quality. If any of that is true I don't know but I seem to remember that thread.

I have dewalt wrenches.. They are very similar to the Mac Knuckle saver 2 wrenches I have.

I just picked up the 1/4 drive metric set for doing small interior work. The sockets appear really thin, but I do like the markings and knurling.

In your basement...seriously, go look now!
They're pretty good, already have a set composed of Kobalt (Taiwan), Pittsburgh Pro (Taiwan), Power Torque (Taiwan) and if I added Dewalt, Taiwan wins again. I don't like the thinness of the socket walls so that's why I passed on them a while back when building my set.

Local Sears still had them on sale last night so I picked up the 1/4" set for $15.99. The look and feel seems nice. The ratchet is heavy and a little too big for my liking for a 1/4" ratchet but the 72 tooth count does feel smooth. Sockets are ok, the knurling is nice. But my favorite thing is the case and the way the sockets are inside. Lay flat when closed and each socket can flip up to be removed. Very cool.
