I am planing on puting my air compressor outside. I wanted to stub out a pipe, so i could support it good before I finished the inside wall. What size pipe should I stub out for the air compressor?

I would go with either 3/4 or 1" if it were me. I have all 1" pipe in my shop & never have a problem with water or lack of air delivery. The bigger the pipe the slower the air moves thru it & the more water drops out because it has more time to cool.

Depends on what size compressor, but the bigger you go the better. I have a 5hp 80 gallon size and I'm using 1" copper pipe for my main runs. 1 1/4 black iron if you want to go that route. You can make the drop downs 3/4 or so and I believe that will be oversized for most applications.
