Hey guys, so I have a 30x30x10 shop. All the walls basically but the ceiling have 2” Kingspan foam board insulation. I’m sealing all my gaps now. Starting to insulate the ceiling. Btu calculator calls for 40k with poor insulation. Heater is a Mr heater big maxx 80k btu.

It’s not pointing to the middle of my shop, I couldn’t find anyone to help hang it so I did the best I could, it’s wired and Plummed up so I can’t adjust the angle. Any suggestions? A fan mounted beside it to push to the middle of the shop? I know ultimately insulating the ceiling will help a lot. Would like any and all input. If you want more pictures I can do that. Thanks

There is nothing wrong with where it's pointing. Air will naturally circulate in a circular pattern while it's running.

The problem is you have no insulation on your ceiling with a metal roof. You are losing a tremendous amount of heat.

Thanks for the input. I’m starting now with the double bubble. I know it’s not the best, but I do not like the look of spray foam. Funny fact, my Lowe’s had the 4x8 2” Kingspan panels marked at $7 a sheet, which they are $48 a sheet now lol. So I bought the whole store out

I don't think the double bubble is going to do much. You have hot air rising, which the foil insulation won't do anything against. You need real insulation up on the ceiling.
What kind would your recommend on the ceiling? The 2” foam board won’t really fit in the grooves of the roof

Mine is in the same location. I attached a length of aluminum flashing on the right side, curled to deflect the air. I did that to keep from cooking my 8’ Norfolk Island Pine that sits just to the right & in front of the heater.
