Quite common, regarless of roofing type.

If you are going to have a leak, you are usually going to find it either when the structure is brand new....Or many years later when age has taken it's toll.

Should not be a big deal, just call the installer out and have him rectify it.

It happens. You'll find out how good of a contractor you hired by guaging his reaction to the leak.

Leaks are in direct proportion to the skills of the installers. My metal sided wood framed shop was put up by a company that does 100's a year. There was no blank holes after they finished and there have been zero leaks in 6 years.
