So roughly 2 months back I picked this up for 500. Here it is after I wiped down the drawers and oil. I bought it from an older guy who no longer was using it.

I paid an extra 100 for all the tools inside. Included a bunch of random things along with incomplete socket sets, screwdrivers, a few ratchets and extensions, pliers, air tools, and wrenches. Most of it is being phased out with SK, snap on, Williams, and Matco. I was pleasantly surprised to find a complete matador offset wrench set in there. Heres a few pics if anyone is interested.

If this one is no good let me know and I'll take it down.

Does anyone know where I can find the lock for the top box, not sure why but the PO decided to prep it for a pad lock.

Just to be clear most of those tools weren't the ones included. And the pic was from the original owner and I liked how it added some character.

The pad lock cylinder can be had in most any hardware store, BUT, the "key" (pun intended) is the locking pawl, Some boxes used unique pawls. See if someone can get you a pic of the locking pawl. If you can't match it at the store, I might have one since I never throw lock bits away...

The good news is the square interface between the cylinder lock and pawl is pretty much standard.

I'll look deeper into the door locks. I've only taken quick looks. it seems as if the previous owner tried as there are a few lock kits that were never opened included with the tools.

Great looking box combo, well worth the $500.00. Why would anyone but a new (C-man etc.) box new when there great used bargains out there.

I actually looked at the cman before picking this up and was amazed at how flimsy they are. I honestly wasn't even sure the drawers were up to the task of even my DIY at home stuff. The husky offerings were definately a better looking and built box from what I can tell. I still wish I had bb slides like those husky boxes.

Thanks dreamer, guess the pic is ok huh lol

For the lock, try Matco. If they are like other tool companies they should still stock new lock sets. ( I haven't dealt with Matco boxes for many years, so I'm not sure what they stock for older boxes)

Last time I called them they tried to pass me to a regional manager which passed me to a route man. He was about 3 hours from me. I'll try them again for the lock and more info
