I went to a pawn shop looking for rolling tool box (discussed in my first thread). But I found a couple of tools and wondering if I did good, decent or terrible on the price.

The wrench is an unbranded "Made in the USA" being a 13/16 on one end and other end is 7/8

If you cant read the photo the other tool is a Klein hex tool (NO 68701)

I bought the pair for $5. So how did I do?

I think you paid about what they're worth. I see LOTS of similar items at pawn shops and flea markets, that can be picked up for a couple bucks.

Clean'em up a little and put'em to work.

It's fun to build wrench/socket sets out of flea market/yard sale/pawn shop finds. It's fun digging around for sizes you need. After you build out your main set, you can build a set to keep in your trunk.

As stated in my other thread I have nothing so building it cheap is always good. It was fun digging through the bins

Decent score. Around here, the tools with prices marked on them are way overpriced. The bins with the loose stuff usually goes for .25 to 1.00 a piece. Keep digging too, there's usually good stuff at the bottom!

You did okay for pawn shop prices. Visit more of them. Try an estate sale too. I would only pay 1 dollar per piece at an estate sale for those items. Part of the fun is the hunt.

the Klein folder is built by Eklind Tool Company of Chicago, it is a repackaged Eklind model 20911 and also marketed under several other brand names, around $8-$10 new - made in USA

I like these hex key sets!

I do so little with SAE I would have passed on both, but if they are something you can use not bad for pawn shop pricing. No more than a buck at a garage sale.

Id love to do garage sales stuff. problem around here is im literally the only person that sells decent stuff at a garage sale. Everyone else sell the real cheap tools but wants near retail for stuff.

As for SAE/ Metric I have a lot of older stuff that's in SAE but I do need metric for everything on my truck.

I bet I could've gotten the price lower if I bought more but I didn't have the money for more. Yet still cheaper than buying new in many cases.
