The sniper program bids at the last possible second. If an auction is scheduled to end at 23:00:00 and the sniper program bids at 22:59:58, why would it reset the clock for 15 minutes? If that were the case, the seller could get 7-8 sniper bids in the last couple of seconds, the clock would reset 15 minutes for every bid and the auction would continue for another couple of hours!
Try PowerSnipe. They have a 30 day money back guarantee. If it doesn't work for you, simple cancel within 30 days and receive your money back.
Sites like gunbroker don't let an auction end until a full 15 minutes after the last bid. If someone bids 5 seconds before the scheduled end time, the end time of the auction will automatically be pushed back to 15 minutes after the last sniped bid. Even if 5 sniped bids come in during the last second it will only push it back 15 minutes from the last of the sniped bids, it don't add 15 minutes for each of the last second bids as you suggest. My friend says he seen auctions run way over because people try to snipe on the extra 15 minutes several times, not realising that they are adding 15 additional minutes every time they try to snipe.
Here is Gunbrokers page that explains how the 15 minute rule works.
