How do all organize your screwdrivers?

I keep a human corpse hanging from a meat hook in my garage. Phillips plunged into the stomach, slotted in the liver.

Or maybe in a drawer in my toolbox. I forget.

Wow some of you guys got a nice collection of screwdrivers! I don't have nearly as many, but I'm slowly building it up. If you have the space and box for it, separating them into different drawers works well, too bad I don't have a big box or money for one. One day though, I'll be able to do it that way :)
I'll try out a couple of magnetic rails and see how it works, I'm sure it'll work good. Once I get too many, I'll have to do the 'stuff them in the drawer technique' lol

Instead of the (IMHO) too strong for screwdrivers magnet bars, try some mag tape on a suitable spacer (wood?). All you are trying to do is keep them fro rolling all over...

I don't... I'll have to post a pic of my screwdriver/plier drawer... some of you might get a kick out of a peek in there... :lol_hitti

It's getting quite loaded... and I have enough spares to fill that drawer to the top with screwdrivers... might do that yet to justify the purchase of a HF toolbox... :bounce:
Forget the picture of the screwdrivers. How about a full size picture of your avatar?

Shared my magnetic strip idea earlier in the week here...

Wasn't the discussion about magnetic strips that the screwdrivers wanted to wander around because of the magnetic field?

THIS idea would work, I think. Team magentic strips with two 99 cent socket organizers from Harbor Freight to act as spacers to keep the screwdrivers wherever you want them.

My example is of punches but I think the same thing would work laying down in a drawer instead of screwed into the wall. You MIGHT have to glue the strips and the rails to something thin like plastic or 1/8" plywood. Opinions?

BTW, I'd like to take credit for this idea, but I saw it here on someone's(?) thread. I still think its an ingenious but simple little idea.

Yeah, you and I discussed using those socket organizers. Thanks for the photo of the use on punches...that is awesome. It would work for screwdrivers too. Will try it soon.

Post a pic here will 'ya?

I don't have time right now to mess with it right now, but after I wrote about mounting the strips & rails to a piece of plastic or thin plywood I thought MAYBE that wouldn't be necessary. Maybe I could just lay them down side by side since you never take ALL your screwdrivers out of the drawer at one time. Anyway, I'd like to see your results.

Does anyone know what material ^that is? I've been looking and looking for it to line my tool boxes with but all I can ever find is the thin stuff to set tools on. I've never been able to locate the thick foam like that where you can cut it out to make inserts.

Just "installed" this today. Not sure if it was going to work, but for $9.99 I figured I'd roll the dice. I actually like it pretty well. The holders are made from a silicone type rubber and will not drag across the drawer even a little bit. Can also trim them to fit.
