I found a really nice led flashlight in a piece of equipment that was made in finland. There is no place on the flashlight to plug in a charger. When you unscrew the end cap , there is a 500 ma. Ion battery that slides out. It is just one cell. About the diameter of a normal c size battery but twice as long.
Any one have any suggestions on how to charge it.

Sounds like a 3.7 volt lithium 26650 rechargeable. There should be a label. Photos? The old ones were 3000mah. Late ones are 5000 mah. You can charge at the same rate you charge your 18650 . 650 mm is the nominal length for both. First two digits is the diameter.

It could be two rechargeable in a package with heatshrink.

Would it be a Brinkmann flashlight ? I know you found the flashlight, but mine came with a charger, maybe you can go to the Brinkmann website and find a charger. Mine is the 3.7 volt battery. I bought the whole set up at TSC.

Probably have to charge the cell outside out the flashlight in one of numerous 3.7 volt battery chargers. You can buy a second battery and charger combo and always have a charged cell ready to go.

I thought they were working on a wireless rechargeable battery? Yeah, it was for cell phones, but wouldn't something like that work in a flashlight?
