How do I clean battery corrision off the contacts

I have a ohm meter that I just uncovered and found that one contact has corrison on it. Want to save meter got and soultions on how to clean it?

...or a battery terminal cleaner. $1.99 at Harbor Freight.

Stiff plastic scraper to take off the bigger chunks and then wrap t shirt cloth around a metal fingernail file, apply silver polish or auto cutting polish to the cloth and finish the clean up of the terminals. Try not to scratch any more of the original plating than necessary.

I agree, just did this on my truck. Also use the red battery corrosion protection they sell at any Napa or auto parts store. Don't forget the safety glasses.
