How do I find out what year my toolbox was made?

Hey all, I'm trying to figure out when my box was made. I have a Matco MB510A Flagship Chest and MB520A Flagship Rollaway.

I can't remember if those with the metal placque were stamped. Check them over thoroughly for a made in usa/date stamp. Matco might be able to give you a ball park on age with the serial numbers if you can find someone that cares.

They are 70s-80s era.

I had a side box as well as a middle box that had the metal plaque and both were date stamped, but according to a former Matco dealer none of the metal plaque boxes were date stamped. Maybe they stopped half way through.

I haven't found a stamp on any of mine that have the plaque. Doesn't mean they're not there though.
