Hey guys,

My old matco shop light has been on the fritz, so I just pulled the transformer off the plug end and found that one of the contacts is broken.

Can this be easily replaced? If not, how can I fix it?

Thanks !

Solder the wire back onto the tab and glue the piece the tab is attached to back to the windings and you should be fine.

Looks like a 13W ballast. That should be easy to find, but not necessarily one that's a drop-in fit to your plug case.

Check the continuity of the windings - if it's dead open, you will have to solder the wire back up to the winding (r the winding back together), which can be tricky. the way the first pix looks, you may need to do this. Don't forget to insulate the soldering job when you're done.

Looks like one of the contacts will need to be soldered to that single copper wire.
