They are getting ready to pour my floor and I need to frame out the garage doors. I know I could just run a 2x6 across. But Ive seen they slope them or step them down for the water to stay out. How would you form something like this?

We put the form board slightly lower than the rest of the floor. This allowed a slight taper to be troweled and brush finished in front of where the door will be.

I think it might be an inch taper over 10 inches.

The door should close on the apron, not the garage floor to be done correctly. The apron would be poured separately. The apron is slightly lower to create a 3/4 inch lip to keep water and bugs out. So the door would actually come down on the apron to seal against this lip. Also makes finishing your garage floor much nicer.
