How do I prep SS for cerakote?

I've never tried cerakote; only watched a bunch of vids.

However, if I wanted to cerakote an espresso machine with SS panels all around, how would I prep the metal?

I'd call them and see what they recommend. I know with SS firearms they lightly abrasive blast them for a good bond. The other consideration is if your SS has some kind of clear coating over it like you find on some appliances.

degrease, 120 grit aluminium oxide, degrease again, coat, bake, cool.

Thanks guys. I will update if I follow through. I have a new cabinet setup and am involved in a total remodel of my espresso bar. I'm thinking of getting creative with the SS items in the bar.

Getting ready to order 120 grit AO. Is 25# the standard amount to put in the cabinet? Mine, which is a smaller, floor model.
