How do I remove this???

Trying to disassemble this vise to restore it. Can't figure out how to remove the lead screw. It has a thick clip holding it on. Maybe it was crimped on?

The last time I tore down my vise to lube it, I had to remove a big ole snap ring like that one.

You may have to get a flat head under it, while you use the snap ring pliers to open it up.

Got it! It wasn't a snap ring. Just a soft steel ring crimped into a groove. I spread it and slid it off.
