??.... how do I side my lean-to when the rafters attach to the post?

Horizontal 2x4 perlins just like the rest of the barn.
Personally I would add an overhang on the gable ends of the "shed" part. I hate buildings without overhangs.

Edit: are you asking how to side the main barn up to the bottom of the roof of the lean to part?
If so, I would add a perlin up tight to the rafters and side to that then fit the siding best you can around the rafters? Are you intending on a ceiling in the lean to?

The top purlin of my side sheds is also a wall girt. The top edge is beveled to match the side shed pitch. You may want to consider that idea. The shed roofing projects through the upper wall, another wall girt is needed just above the shed roof to attach the flashing to, then sheet the upper wall. Below the side shed roof, J channel is nailed to the beveled girt to wrap the top of the lower side wall steel. Hope that helps.
