How Do Snap On Model Numbers Work?

I am trying to figure out which models of Snap On flare nut wrenches are new style and which are the old style.

For example is this model number the same for new style as the old style (RXFS1214B)?

I saw this link on ebay with wrenches that are matching the model numbers currently online, but it is saying they are the old style.

Anyone have any better knowledge on this?

Not sure about part numbers, but the logo has changed some, the O is no longer closed all the way.

See attached pictures, not sure this is the answer, but something to notice.

That's interesting... I just got some flare nut wrenches with the closed O:

I'm not sure if these are the "old" style or the "new" style

You can simply look up the date code stamped onto the wrench if you are interested in the age of it. Easiest method, IMO. All Snap-On hand tools have a date code, except for some really early stuff (early 1920's stuff).

Thanks for the info on this. Where are the date codes for line wrenches located?
